Battery energy equals distance multiplied by the vehicle consumption you enter. Grid energy adjusts that battery requirement for the charging-loss percentage. Cost equals grid energy multiplied by your electricity price.
Use the right inputs
Use the efficiency shown by a trusted test or your own trip history, and the complete price on your electricity bill or charging-network receipt. Public charging may add session, idle, parking or tax charges that this basic estimate does not include.
