AI may assist the newsroom. It does not replace evidence, accountability or editorial judgment.
Permitted assistance
Automation may help discover public signals, cluster related coverage, extract structured fields, compare documents, flag contradictions, generate internal drafts and create clearly reviewed original graphics.
Mandatory gates
Before publication, factual claims must be checked against visible sources; quotations, names, dates and numbers must be verified; duplicate intent must be reviewed; uncertainty must remain explicit; and a responsible desk must approve the result.
Prohibited uses
We do not fabricate quotes, sources, events, people or bylines; impersonate eyewitness reporting; create synthetic evidence; or publish an automated summary solely because a topic is trending. We do not use AI to conceal sponsorship or manufacture false freshness.
Corrections and improvement
AI assistance does not reduce Nivegu’s responsibility for an error. Material corrections are recorded visibly, and recurring failure patterns are used to improve prompts, validation rules and review procedures.
